The incumbent will be responsible to maintain site-wide equipment and facilities, establishing optimization in initative and Right First Time Strategy / Technique to enhance high equipment and instrument reliability in compliance with cGMP, EHS, Data integrity and regulatory requirements in a cost effective manner. He will execute the reliability programs of plant Mechanical equipment, instruments and systems by establishing proactive, predictive and preventive maintenance programs, conducting equipment inspections, analyzing data, provide recommendations and follow up monitoring/improvements. Accountable for: cGMP and EH&S compliance Mechanical System / Equipment failure and Root Cause Analysis Equipment, instrument and system reliability and performance Team performance Maintenance PM work planning and data tracking Report generation Implementation, Execution, Commissioning/testing of new and obsolete Mechanical systems and equipment. What You Will Achieve In this role, you will: Perform maintenance and inspection activities on plant equipment according to procedures, good engineering practices and cGMP. Lead and implement the predictive maintenance programs, collect data, analyze, generate report and recommend corrective actions/improvements to reduce equipment failures. Develop maintenance programs to maintain plant assets. Review and modify the PM/PdM to improve equipment reliability. Prepare reports and documentation by collecting, analyzing and summarizing information and trends. Manage the reliability equipment database. Establish equipment reliability standards by studying drawings, data sheet and design specifications; verifying specifications with OEM and Engineering staff; writing and updating reliability/inspection procedures. Ensure smooth equipment operation by close monitoring of the equipment conditions. Carrying out root cause failure analysis to improve product quality and equipment reliability. Lead, coordinate and follow through major equipment repair and troubleshooting. Confirm and verify equipment performance by designing feasibility inspection and testing methods, testing properties and equipment monitoring parameters. Determine acceptability of equipment rework/installation by conducting inspections of reworked equipment and new installation job. Support project design, construction and commissioning through active involvement in commissioning activities, discuss equipment improvement and modifications with vendors/Supervisors/Engineers. Lead in continuous improvement initiatives, troubleshooting of complex problems and lead in (IRS/QAR) investigations/root cause analysis and write investigation report for approval related to equipment issues. Ensure smooth equipment operation by close monitoring of the equipment conditions. Carrying out root cause failure analysis to improve product quality and equipment reliability. Improve Mechanical system / equipment performance / capabilities by conducting system / equipment design feasibility study and implementing improvement methods - to reduce downtime, minimize waste, optimize maintenance resources, improve maintenance methods. Resolve Mechanical system / equipment performance issues by facilitating discussions (IRS, QAR, RFT initiative) with cross functional team to identify / define and root cause the problem, evaluate alternative solutions, and develop action plans. Recommend Mechanical system / equipment optimizing initiative by discussing operation needs or involving in new project installation / commissioning, HAZOP, PSSR activities. Optimize Mechanical system / equipment maintainability by ensuring built in reliability during system / equipment design and installation phase to confirm the performance. Improve reliability on system / equipment operating by coaching and promoting Mechanical system / equipment ownership, training operator on first line maintenance skill; Mechanical system / equipment operation/troubleshooting and issues. Maintain system / equipment integrity and company reputation by complying with government regulations and meeting Pfizer corporate guidelines. Keep Mechanical system / equipment operational by coordinating case study, maintenance and repair services activities with vendor / contractor; following manufacturer's instructions and established procedures; requesting special services. Utilize Mechanical system / equipment maintenance database in EAMS (computerized maintenance management system) to meet the maintenance and production operational needs; analyzing the data and trend in EAMS for decision-making and PM planning and scheduling. Support Project team on special / urgent assigned projects to meet the requirement, schedule, budget target and as the interface contact person for engineering / maintenance resource. Track Mechanical system / equipment performance and conduct bench marking by tracking Mechanical system / equipment breakdown, re-occurrence failure and Mechanical system / equipment history report to enable Maintenance Team to focus on areas that required attention. Provide relevant operation and performance reports by generating reports on Mechanical system / equipment / maintenance work/PM statistics. Maintaining good working relations with team by working closely with all respective department eg. Production, E&I and vendor etc in consultation with the team to resolve any issues. Maintain a safe and clean working environment on areas under one’s responsibility. Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending PGE meetings, technical workshops and participating in professional societies. Provide training (e.g. OJT) and coaching to colleagues to improve their competencies. Participate IMEx Process Centric Team Tier 1 meetings and address engineering issues based on priority. Develop and support TPM-OPC checklists, train and guides operation team in OPC tasks and knowledge. Complete all assigned training on-time and also prior to work implementation. Contribute to team effort by accomplishing desired results/KPIs. KPI’s include: Safety incident / lost time System / Equipment performance / MTBF System / Equipment Inspection, Trending, Failure Report and Optimization System / Equipment repair / replacement / maintenance expenses System / Equipment uptime % Critical PM/PdM overdue (safety and process critical equipment) Maintenance Expenses (Actual versus Budget) Here Is What You Need (Minimum Requirements) Minimum 6 years for Degree or 15 years for Diploma in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering with relevant experiences in pharmaceuticals, chemicals, or petrochemical industries. Experience with Root Cause Failure Analysis, Equipment Criticality Ranking, PM/PdM optimization, and/or Failure Modes and Effects Analysis Strong knowledge and understanding of Current Good Manufacturing Practices (part of GxP) Excellent oral and written communication skills Working knowledge of MS Excel Ability to manage complex issues and foster consensus among teams Familiar with government code of practice, regulations, current Good Manufacturing Practice (cGMP), Good Documentation Practice (GDP) and Data Integrity (DI).
