The Software Quality Operations team is at the heart of ensuring the safety, reliability, and quality of the Waymo Driver. Our mission is to build an adaptable and scalable operation, increasingly powered by AI, to deliver the crucial insights necessary to confidently deploy and grow Waymo's autonomous vehicle service.

Waymo is experiencing unprecedented growth, rapidly expanding into new cities and launching new vehicle platforms. Software Quality Operations is critical to this expansion, enabling us to scale safely and efficiently. As the Vendor Data Analytics & KPI Lead, you will be responsible for leading the end-to-end operational planning lifecycle by designing automated, scalable systems for demand forecasting, budgeting, and performance monitoring. In addition you’ll partner with cross-functional and analytics teams to implement standardized metrics and dashboards that drive data-driven decision-making.

You will:

  • Drive design and implementation of operational metrics, dashboards, and standardized cross-organizational reporting systems in coordination with internal and vendor analytics teams
  • Lead demand forecasting, workforce and budget planning, and plan-to-actuals spend monitoring processes
  • Establish foundational architecture and automated systems to enable vendor data analysts to build and maintain scalable operational reporting
  • Oversee standardized business review frameworks and hold vendors accountable to SLAs, KPIs, and committed action plans
  • Develop short and long-term project roadmaps, managing timelines, impact, and documentation for internal customers and vendor leadership
  • Align with senior stakeholders on quarterly objectives, reporting on program metrics to continuously improve area effectiveness

You have:

  • BA / BS in technical or business discipline or equivalent experience
  • 7+ years in data intelligence, statistics, or other related field with proven experience designing and implementing analytical strategies, process optimization initiatives, and technical programs for people at all levels
  • 5+ years of program management experience with large, complex projects and cross-functional stakeholders
  • A highly analytical mindset with demonstrated background of creating & defining metrics for a program
  • Experienced writing concise documentation (e.g. business requirements, summary reports, project briefs), and delivering engaging presentations, often to senior leadership
  • Expert proficiency with Python and SQL and experience designing and implementing complex data pipelines

We prefer:

  • Experience working with fast-paced emerging technologies
  • Background in consulting, operations, technology, technical / program management
  • Strong data analysis and technical skills; ability to work with Engineers across multiple disciplines
  • Experience working in a multi-geography environment with US based teams

The expected base salary range for this full-time position across US locations is listed below. Actual starting pay will be based on job-related factors, including exact work location, experience, relevant training and education, and skill level. Waymo employees are also eligible to participate in Waymo’s discretionary annual bonus program, equity incentive plan, and generous Company benefits program, subject to eligibility requirements.
