Position Summary As a Sr. Business Consultant, you will act as a key contributor in a complex and critical environment, leveraging advanced analytics and process improvement expertise to drive strategic transformation within Financial Shared Services (FSS). This senior career position offers significant latitude in determining objectives and shaping solutions. You will frequently develop creative resolutions to complex problems, anticipate change, and redirect efforts to align with evolving business priorities. This role partners with senior leadership to deliver actionable insights, challenge the status quo, and quantify benefits that optimize efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance customer and employee satisfaction. You will serve as a resource for colleagues with less experience and may direct the work of others without formal management responsibilities, utilizing internal and external resources to accomplish goals. Key Responsibilities Strategic Consulting: Provide consultative services to senior executives and business unit leaders, including financial reviews, business case development, and strategic project identification. Business Insights & Recommendations: Analyze financial and operational data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities; present recommendations backed by quantified benefits. Process Transformation: Lead initiatives that improve efficiency and effectiveness across Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, and other FSS functions. Data Analytics & Visualization: Develop dashboards and reports using Power BI, SQL, and Python to provide actionable insights. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with finance and technology teams to align priorities and deliver integrated solutions. Governance & Intake: Establish and enforce intake and prioritization processes to optimize resource allocation and portfolio value. Thought Leadership: Frequently contribute to the development of new theories, methods, and best practices for process improvement and analytics. Qualifications Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Analytics, or related field (or equivalent experience). Experience: 6+ years in reporting, analytics, or process improvement roles. Proven ability to lead projects delivering measurable financial and operational impact. Technical Skills: Proficient in Python, SQL, and Power BI. Familiarity with enterprise data ecosystems (Snowflake, SAP, JD Edwards) and visualization tools (Power BI, SSRS). Critical Skills: Strong understanding of Financial Shared Services processes (e.g. AR/AP). Ability to learn quickly and adapt in a dynamic environment. Excellent communication and presentation skills for senior leadership. Strategic thinker with strong problem-solving and prioritization skills. Preferred Skills Six Sigma or process improvement certification. Experience with ERP systems and advanced analytics tools. Prior experience influencing cultural change and driving innovation. The pay range shown below is aligned with McKesson's pay philosophy, and pay will always be compliant with any applicable regulations.
