A strong account management team is how these products and programs get to market and make a difference.<br><br>The Strategic Client Executive within UnitedHealthcare National Accounts is responsible for the overall management of a book of important client relationships. Our Collaborative Ventures Group (CVG) maintains and grows relationships with private equity-owned clients under one umbrella. The Strategic Client Executive (SCE) within CVG is accountable for the maintenance, growth, and increased profitability of existing business, and the strategic direction of assigned accounts. The Strategic Client Executive directs strategic, customer-specific initiatives, which deliver value-added services through the execution of client-specific business plans. The Strategic Client Executive coordinates and influences superior customer service delivery by developing and maintaining strong internal and external relationships. And our CVG team is uniquely positioned such that the SCE's book of business, while individual client relationships, are also part of a larger whole with shared goals and aligned strategies.<br><br>Position is based in the Central or Eastern time zones. The SCE will have the flexibility to work remotely while taking on some tough challenges.<br><br><strong>Primary Responsibilities<br><br></strong><ul><li>Solid understanding of the self-funded healthcare marketplace and pricing disciplines </li><li>Establishment and maintenance of strong relationships at the appropriate level with customers and consultants/brokers</li><li>Skillful alignment of customer-specific needs and goals with cross-customer initiatives</li><li>Development and monitoring of client financial performance including renewal planning, negotiation, and profitability levels</li><li>Detailed understanding of UnitedHealthcare products and services</li><li>Ability to navigate within UnitedHealthcare to produce positive results for clients and the company</li><li>Acquisition of in-client growth through effective product and service expansion</li><li>Demonstration of marketing and technical expertise through client and consultant/broker meetings</li><li>Assessment of approach, resources, and contacts needed to lead RFP responses</li><li>Provision of feedback to management on market trends as represented by our clients</li><li>Maintenance of a high level of healthcare industry knowledge as well as customer's industry<br><br></li></ul>You'll be rewarded and recognized for your performance in an environment that will challenge you and give you clear direction on what it takes to succeed in your role as well as provide development for other roles you may be interested in.<br><br><strong>Required Qualifications<br><br></strong><ul><li>Appropriate state insurance sales licenses or willing and able to obtain within 30 days of hire</li><li>3+ years of sales and client management experience consulting on group employee benefits </li><li>ASO group employee benefits experience</li><li>Superior customer service skills including a sense of urgency and ownership for resolving client issues</li><li>Demonstrated relationship management skills & proven track record of building and cultivating client relationships</li><li>Demonstrated skill at articulating our value proposition to customers including the clinical, operational, and financial aspects of our business</li><li>Willing and able to travel 25% +/- depending on business need</li><li>Proven underwriting, financial and analytics skills</li><li>Reside in Central or Eastern time zones</li><li>Valid driver's license<br><br></li></ul><strong>Preferred Qualifications<br><br></strong><ul><li>5+ years of experience managing large ASO clients</li><li>Proven problem solver - can move quickly within UHG to solve customer issues</li><li>Proven detail orientation and achievement motivation</li><li>Skillful negotiation with a strategic vision for assigned accounts</li><li>Excellent presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to build solid relationships with senior level leadership at employer groups</li><li>Proven experience flexing between competing priorities in workload or change in deadlines in a fast-paced environment</li><li>Demonstrated experience effectively communicating across mediums to develop consensus among multiple stakeholders</li><li>All employees working remotely will be required to adhere to UnitedHealth Group's Telecommuter Policy<br><br></li></ul>Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). No matter where or when you begin a career with us, you'll find a far-reaching choice of benefits and incentives. The salary for this role will range from $75,000 to $160,000 annually based on full-time employment.
