Incredible opportunity in Wichita to work as a Smart Factory Production Associate. This is one of the most exciting projects ever to happen in Wichita. This is a long term temporary opportunity.

Hours: 7:30am to 4:30pm, M-F

Hourly Rate: $18.00 – 20.00 DOE

No Overtime or Weekends! Maybe required to wear company shirts, tennis shoes ok and slacks. No shorts, no dangling jewelry, or loose clothing.

Must be able to stand for the majority of the shift. Climate controlled environment.

Day shift, full time opportunity at a cutting-edge, smart factory facility on the campus of Wichita State University. This role requires a lot of troubleshooting, communicating risks and recommendations, and ability to work with limited direction. This position also requires readiness for client demos and tours which means keeping the demo environment, equipment and logistics “always ready,” aligning schedules and communications, and driving technical and operation items to closure.

Responsibilities:

  • Demo & tour execution: Coordinate agendas/run-of-show, room/lab readiness, team logistics; maintain setup/reset/troubleshooting documentation; communicate maintenance windows, timing changes, and post-event outcomes.
  • Operational reliability: Manage shipping/receiving with strong tracking and accuracy; maintain inventory locations/counts; forecast replenishment; track critical spares/maintenance items to prevent downtime.
  • Technical support & integration readiness: Validate device connectivity; troubleshoot hardware issues impacting readiness; track/drive service and integration action items; escalate blockers as needed.
  • Coordination & communication: Act as the “single thread” across ops, engineering, cyber/security, and external partners; run a simple execution cadence; manage actions to closure; escalate risks early with options and impacts.

Requirements:

  • Great computer skills with working knowledge of MS Excel and Teams.
  • Accuracy and excellent communication skills.
  • Comfortable maintaining and operating machinery in a manufacturing environment with high sensitivity to safety.
  • An interest and enthusiasm for new technology.
  • Proactive communication, ability to read and write English required.
  • Ability to lift up to 30lbs without assistance.
  • Ability to stand for at least 8 hours.
