TRAINING DEVELOPMENT SPECIALIST SR

As a Senior Training Development Specialist / Team Lead, you will lead the assessment, development, implementation, and training for the US Mortgage Banking Operations areas. You will oversee instructional design, coordinate skilling requirements, knowledge, process, and systems training across multiple operational roles. In collaboration with the leadership team, you will establish and maintain a strategic roadmap to identify and satisfy organizational objectives through effective training solutions. Additionally, you will mentor and guide junior training specialists, ensuring the team delivers high-impact programs aligned with the needs of the Residential Lending Department. Outcomes will include streamlined onboarding timelines, virtual class design, and measurable skill achievement for participants.

WHAT WILL YOU DO?
  • Lead and mentor a team of Training Development Specialists, providing guidance on training materials, methodologies, and program delivery.
  • Help create, administer, and deliver training materials and programs for internal colleagues, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
  • Manage the learning environment and facilitate the development and delivery of learning opportunities using classroom, live-and-online, self‑paced e‑learning, and blended learning methodologies.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders such as Product Managers, Sales & Operations Trainers, and change originators to deliver programs and product training.
  • Serve as a thought leader and subject matter expert, identifying the best training means for each channel and audience while guiding team members in their execution.
  • Organize and support learning workshops for trainers, engaging the product team as needed.
  • Measure the impact and effectiveness of learning and development programs, providing actionable insights for continuous improvement.
  • Ensure that learning and development programs achieve established project goals, quality standards, and legal requirements.
  • Stay current with the latest adult learning theories, organizational behavioral research, and learning delivery technologies, sharing insights with the team.
  • Maintain vendor relationships and serve as the liaison between Treasury and the Learning & Development team to align with enterprise best practices.
  • Oversee administrative tasks, including monitoring costs, scheduling classes, and coordinating enrollment, while delegating tasks as appropriate.
  • Monitor project schedules, resolve issues, and proactively promote knowledge management resources and tools.
  • Facilitate and design additional knowledge‑learning initiatives as assigned, ensuring team alignment and execution.
WHAT DO YOU NEED TO SUCCEED Required Qualifications*
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent
  • Minimum of 7 years delivering training and developing training materials, with 3+ years in a leadership or mentoring role.
  • Minimum of 5 years of financial services experience, with a strong understanding of treasury management, deposit, and commercial card solutions.
Additional Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Proven experience in designing, delivering, and evaluating the effectiveness of learning and development programs.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor a team, fostering collaboration and professional growth.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with all levels of Bank colleagues, Subject Matter Experts, contractors, and third‑party vendors.
  • Ability to apply professional experience and learning theory in practical field applications, adapting concepts to create practical and effective learning opportunities.
  • Demonstrated expertise in needs assessment, objective setting, and evaluation/measurement of learning opportunities.
  • Strong project management skills to organize and schedule training sessions, with the ability to delegate tasks effectively.
  • Ability to adjust content based on audience and develop materials that are logical and easy to follow.
WHAT'S IN IT FOR YOU? Compensation

Starting base salary: $92,114 - $156,880 per year. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. This job is eligible for bonus and/or commissions.
