Job Summary:

We are seeking a professional and customer-oriented Waiter to join our Dining Services team at King Henry VIII College. The Waiter will play a key role in providing exceptional service to students, staff, and visitors within the school's dining facilities. This role involves ensuring a welcoming environment, maintaining cleanliness, and delivering high-quality service in line with the school’s standards.

Position Overview:

The Waiter/Waitress will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service in the school’s cafeteria or dining area, ensuring that students, staff, and visitors have a pleasant dining experience. This position requires a professional demeanor, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, multicultural environment.

Job responsibilities includes:

  • To report for duty on time in the manner specified i.e. well groomed, clean uniform, personal hygiene etc.
  • Works overtime if required.
  • Smoking and the consumption of alcoholic beverages and food during duty hours is strictly prohibited.
  • Arrange and set all cutleries and food according to the menu arrangement set in the buffet line for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
  • Learning name and use of dining hall equipment, such as glassware, china, and flatware.
  • Learning the proper and professional way of handling equipment.
  • Procedures of making coffee, toaster usage and condiments clean.
  • Manage and ensure tray dishes for EYES students are arranged in designated places in the dining hall according to the number of students per class.
  • Proper method while serve snack for student and teachers in classroom and dining hall from the kitchen and serving.
  • Handling complaints and referring to Captain/Supervisor when necessary.
  • To ensure that their appearance and hygiene are at the best level possible.
  • To greet teachers and visitors upon arrival in the dining hall area.
