Overview

CORT Tradeshow and Events is hiring immediately for Warehouse Associates in Orlando, FL! 

 

CORT Events provides furniture rental solutions to trade shows and events including festivals, weddings, corporate events, or even the Superbowl! The Warehouse Associate is responsible for assisting with various warehouse operations, including loading and unloading trucks, processing furniture, and maintaining the warehouse. This role ensures that furniture is rental-ready for events, tradeshows, or transfers to other districts. The Warehouse Associate will be cross-trained in all aspects of warehousing and may fill different roles based on daily business needs.

 

Pay: $18 / hour depending on experience 

 

Schedule: Schedule will vary based on the needs of the business, weekends are required

Responsibilities

Loading and Unloading Trucks: Load and unload trucks, ensuring no scratches or damage and correct item placement.
Order Fulfillment: Pick, stage, and prepare items for customer delivery or district transfers.
Furniture Processing: Clean, touch up, repair, or wrap furniture to ensure it is rental-ready or properly protected for storage.
Furniture Assembly: Assemble or dissemble furniture pieces as needed.
Warehouse Maintenance: Maintain and clean the warehouse, including breaking down cardboard and dumping trash.
Inventory Control: Perform cycle counts and maintain inventory accuracy, relocating products as needed.
Inventory Handling: Tag, store, and organize products in the warehouse according to procedures.
Safety and Compliance: Participate in safety meetings, perform daily warm-ups, and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
• Assist drivers on deliveries when needed.
• Participate in special projects and other tasks as assigned.


Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent preferred
  • Reliable transportation
  • Previous warehousing experience preferred; priority consideration will be given to candidates with more and relevant experience
  • Forklift Operator certification preferred; on-the-job certification provided
  • Physically able and willing to move furniture; ability to lift 50+ pounds on a regular basis or 100 pounds with a partner
  • Able to operate equipment such as RF scanners, pallet jacks, forklifts, and stand-up reach trucks 
  • Must pass drug screening (does not include THC) as a condition of employment
