Your Impact:

As a Warehouse Team Lead for Sierra Forest Products, you will have the opportunity to expand your skillset and enhance our warehouse operations.

Role & Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate the reception, handling, distribution, and storage of designated freight, product, and supplies that come in and out of warehouse.
  • Oversee cargo handling and secure loads in accordance with established safety requirements.
  • Inspect and verify shipped goods for both incoming and outgoing items prior to signing off.
  • Manually load and unload materials from pallets, skids, platforms, cars, and lifting devices.
  • Prepare appropriate paperwork for shipping, including bills of lading and invoices.
  • Answering incoming calls and resolving customer issues.
  • Provide directions to a team of warehouse employees.
  • Coordinate activities by scheduling work assignments, setting priorities, and delegating work accordingly.
  • Maintain shift schedules to ensure sufficient employee coverage.
  • Analyze departmental operations and identify areas requiring improvement.
  • Plan warehouse layout and space requirements to prevent loss or damage, and to achieve full warehouse optimization.
  • Ensure that all warehouse employees comply with company policies, procedures, and ethical standards.
  • Ensure that safe work practices are being followed.
  • Ensure that all staff under your direction are equipped with and are using the proper personal protective equipment.

Your Unique Skills:

  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
  • Three years of related warehousing experience.
  • Experience with coaching and employee development.
  • Ability to direct and motivate a team to achieve and exceed their goals.
  • Ability to respond quickly in a dynamic and changing environment.
  • Ability to identify issues and implement creative solutions to overcome problems.
  • Experience monitoring and controlling inventory.
  • Must be able to lift 75lbs or more repeatedly.
